This amazing 6 day tour may be short on time, but is full of adventure. Explore the bustling markets of the Barkhor and watch the locals as they prostrate around the Johkang Temple. You will also be invited into a local Tibetan home where you can witness their traditional way of life. After fully exploring Lhasa, you’ll have a chance to get lost in the endless Tibetan landscape while you take a short hike along the turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok. Then, you’ll be taken to see the Kumbum Stupa, the most elaborate golden Buddhist Monument in Tibet.

Our guide will meet you and present a white scarf (called Kada) to bring you a good luck in the Tibetan traditional way. Check in the hotel to be accustomed to the high attitude and try to drink some water, avoiding much exercise. (Be noted the first day's acclimation is extremely to ensure you a good health status for the following tour, so please make sure you have yourself lie in bed for all the rest time of the day right after check-in of hotel).
This morning we visit Potala Palace, the highest palace in the world. Afternoon we bid a tour for glistening Jokhang Temple, which has been built for 1400 years. After then, stroll around the bustling bazaar in Barkhor Street, a big market with its prolific stalls for selling specialties. It is the ancient part of Lhasa.
Yamdroktso Lake is a coiling, many-armed body of water shaped like a scorpion. It doubles back on itself on the western side, effectively creating a large island within its reaches. For Tibetans, it is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet.
Airport or train station transfer: The free airport pick-up is at 3:20 p.m. These are the most common times in and out of Lhasa, but if you would like to schedule a different time enter/leave Tibet we will be happy to arrange that. Please ask your travel consultant for the price.
