Lhasa is a city that is worth of visiting when you first go to Tibet, where you can visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties.Culture of Buddhism is an important part for Tibetans, so you can also visit other monasteries or go to Yamdrok Lake or Namtso where you can appreciate holy lakes of Tibet.

Upon arrival at airport, be greeted and offered a white scarf (called Kada) in a Tibet traditional way which brings you good luck. Then drive to the city proper (3650 m). Stay at the hotel for adapting to the high attitude upon your arrival. It is helpful to take things easy for the first few days, and try to drink more water than before.

Visit Drepung monastery in the morning ; then in the afternoon, have a view of the Sera Monastery.

In the morning, our driver and guide will come to hotel to pick you up to the train station or airport.
Airport or train station transfer: The free airport pick-up is at 3:20 p.m. These are the most common times in and out of Lhasa, but if you would like to schedule a different time enter/leave Tibet we will be happy to arrange that. Please ask your travel consultant for the price.
